You bring your passion to work. We help you live it.

Regardless of your long-term aspirations, you don't have to make definitive career decisions now. Studying while working at Plesner is a great way to accelerate your career and unlock numerous opportunities. We are committed to your development and dedicated to getting your career off to a good start.

As a student at Plesner, you will encounter professional challenges and receive guidance and development through close collaboration with some of the most skilled lawyers in the country. We entrust you with responsibilities, provide a strong professional community, challenging tasks, and a daily routine filled with diversity and a good atmosphere.

At Plesner, we nurture your development, increasing the complexity of your tasks as your skills develop. You will have an experienced colleague by your side to always assist and guide you.

We take your development seriously

We expect you to be ambitious, dedicated, and eager to learn and evolve. Collaboration is crucial to our success. To thrive in an environment like ours, you must be able to lean into different teams and ways of working and show responsibility for our community. In return, we promise to accelerate your career and provide you with a solid foundation – regardless of your chosen career path.

During your first days at Plesner, you will be assigned to a team, a partner, and a tutor who will follow your professional and personal growth. You will be given the opportunity to get acquainted with several of our different areas of practice, allowing you to clarify which areas you are most passionate about.

If you are a law student or a commercial law student, you will be given the title law student at bachelor level, while your title as a master's student will be legal intern. We hire students from the universities of Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus, and Aalborg. Living in Aarhus or Aalborg is not a barrier - we offer commuter benefits for students from Jutland, allowing you to work one day a week at our office in Copenhagen.

Homa Irandoust
It has been insightful to work with many different practice areas. I’ve strengthened my professional skills and I’ve had the pleasure of getting closer to a lot of my colleagues. I love that Plesner offers law students the opportunity to rotate like this, as it provides a better understanding of the company’s many practice areas.
Jens Reckendorff
Plesner's master thesis program allowed me to fully dedicate my focus to the process of writing my thesis. Working at the office was helpful, as it provides a structured daily routine with access to Plesner's library, not to mention, the coffee machine. Having the opportunity to confer with other thesis students at Plesner, as well as colleagues on the team, has been truly valuable.
Silke Stendal Hansen
Through my student job, I gain insight into many different cases and get a strong sense of how to best solve tasks as a cohesive team. The camaraderie within the team is really good - just like the social life at Plesner, where it's possible to participate in many great events and meet new colleagues across teams.

Flexible working hours

As a student, you work 16 hours per week over two days. If you are a student from Aalborg or Aarhus University, you will work 8 hours only one day a week, while still being fully integrated into the daily work alongside our other students. We make sure your tasks match your time of arrival in the office, and you will coordinate your working hours with the other students on your team.

As a law student, you are paid hourly, while legal interns receive a monthly salary. Legal interns from Aarhus and Aalborg University receive a pay equal to one and a half days per week.

Your education is important to us. This is why we offer flexible working hours during exam periods, as well as free access to our facilities at any time. When it is time to write your master’s thesis, you receive four months of paid leave, and we will make our office available to you for the entire period, also giving you the opportunity to receive advice and guidance throughout.

As a student at Plesner, we offer:

  • A student job fully focused on your future career

  • That no two days are the same. You try your hand at law in real life and gain insights into complex cases and clients' challenges

  • An opportunity to learn from some of the most skilled professionals in the industry

  • A work environment that supports your personal and professional growth and development through close collaboration and feedback

  • Plenty of fun and social events
