IIP Denmark raises DKK 4 billion for a feeder fund and a dedicated co-investment fund

Case News
IIP Denmark (IIP) reaches final closing of two new investment vehicles: IIP Private Funds V Feeder, a feeder fund to IIP's fifth flagship buyout fund, IIP Private Funds V, raising nearly DKK 2 billion in final closing and bringing total commitments to IIP Private Funds V to nearly DKK 15 billion, and IIP Co-Invest I, a dedicated co-investment fund closing at its hard cap of DKK 2 billion in a first and final closing. Both vehicles are fully funded by external capital, marking IIP's first fundraising beyond its founding institutional investor, PKA. Plesner's Private Investment Funds team advised IIP on all phases of the structuring and formation of the funds.

IIP Denmark has further strengthened its private equity platform with the launch and successful closings of two new investment vehicles backed by primarily Danish family offices.

The first investment vehicle, IIP Private Funds V Feeder, has been established to allow new investors to access IIP's fifth flagship buyout fund-of-funds, IIP Private Funds V. The feeder fund reached final closing on 30 June 2025, raising nearly DKK 2 billion, and bringing the total fund size of IIP Private Funds V to nearly DKK 15 billion (approx. EUR 2 billion).

The second investment vehicle, IIP Co-Invest I, marks IIP's launch of a new strategy, a dedicated co-investment fund, providing investors with access to direct co-investment opportunities alongside selected top-tier private equity managers. The fund held a first and final close at its hard cap of DKK 2 billion (approx. EUR 270 million) on 1 July 2025.

Both funds are fully funded by external capital and represent a significant milestone for IIP, marking its first fundraising beyond its founding institutional investor, PKA.

The new investor base primarily includes leading Danish family offices. Notably, Lars Larsen Group has joined as an anchor investor in both IIP Private Funds V Feeder and IIP Co-Invest I and, as part of its strategic minority investment in IIP, committed to investing DKK 7.5 billion in IIP's funds through 2032.

Based in Copenhagen, IIP manages nearly DKK 100 billion (approx. EUR 13 billion) on behalf of PKA's members and other external investors, including the Greenlandic pension fund SISA, across global private equity and venture capital fund investments and co-investments.

Plesner's Private Investment Funds team advised IIP on all phases of the structuring and formation of IIP Private Funds V Feeder and IIP Co-Invest I.
