Faerch signs long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Eurowind Energy in Poland

Case News
Plesner has advised Faerch A/S ("Faerch") on finalising a landmark Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") with Eurowind Energy A/S ("EWE"), securing a long-term supply of renewable electricity (onshore wind) for its production facilities in Poland.

With this agreement, Faerch strengthens its sustainability agenda by ensuring a 10-year reliable supply of green electricity to support the production of its sustainable food packaging solutions.

This is Faerch's first-ever wind PPA and will provide 70,000 Mwh per year—equivalent to the electricity consumption of 17,500 Danish households—from the Nowogródek wind farm, expected to be operational by early 2027.

The transaction highlights the increasing demand for tailored PPA solutions that enable industrial players to secure long-term access to renewable energy at predictable rates.

Plesner is proud and grateful to have advised Faerch on this strategically significant transaction.

Plesner's core team on the deal comprised Niklas Korsgaard Christensen and Jan De Clerck.
