Alight acquires Lidsø solar park
Lidsø solar park with a capacity of 215 MW, developed by European Energy, is set to become one of Denmark's largest solar parks. Located at Rødby Havn in Lolland Municipality, Lidsø solar park is scheduled for commissioning in the summer of 2025. European Energy will continue to oversee the construction and will be responsible for its operation once commissioned.
Alight, a leading developer, operator, and owner of onsite and offsite solar projects across Europe, is driving the transition to solar energy. This transaction marks Alight's expansion into Denmark.
The acquisition is backed by SEB AB, which is providing €127 million ($139 million) in financing.
