Axcel invests in ProData

Case News
Axcel has signed an agreement to acquire a large majority stake in ProData and partner with the founders and management of ProData to create a leading European provider of high-end IT consultants. Plesner acted as lead counsel for Axcel and advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, including the sellers' reinvestment.

Plesner has assisted Axcel with its Fund VI acquisition of a large majority stake in the ProData Group. ProData is a leading provider of high-end IT consultants, both through its large network of local freelance consultants and its Nearshoring-as-a-Service offering. The sellers are the private equity firm Polaris and certain members of management and founders who will remain as minority stakeholders.

ProData was founded in 1994 and has grown to become a leading Northern European talent-centric provider of business and IT consultants, with close to DKK 2 billion in revenues and employs around 150 FTEs. ProData has activities across Scandinavia, Poland, Germany and the Netherlands.

Axcel is a leading Nordic private equity firm focusing on mid-market companies, with a total committed capital of more than EUR 2.6 billion across six funds.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals from competition authorities and is expected to close in Q3 of 2021.

Plesner's core team consisted of Henrik Rossing Lønberg, Anne Cathrine Ingerslev, Jef Nymand Hounsgaard, Alexandra Jakobsen and Kristian Vinter Bisgaard.
