REInvest Asset Management and DEREIF Copenhagen V ApS acquire 3 buildings in the Carlsberg City District
The seller is Carlsberg Byen, a property company ultimately owned by Carlsberg Breweries and three Danish pension funds, PFA Pension Forsikringsaktieselskab, Pensam Liv Forsikringsaktieselskab and Topdanmark Livsforsikring A/S.
Mineral Water House, Mineral Water Factory and Theodora House are unique core office and retail buildings located in the high-end development area, Carlsberg City District, surrounded by the trendy Vesterbro district and the fashionable Frederiksberg.
Theodora House is a mix of old and new. The old part is the previous fermenting room which will be transformed into a restaurant in the basement and offices in the remaining floors. The new part is built on the existing premises and will have an open planning in a New York style. The Mineral Water House is an open and light three-winged property coherent with the Mineral Water Factory, in which Carlsberg produced and bottled soda from the 1920’s. The Mineral Water Factory is originally designed by the architect Carl Harild as a neoclassical masterpiece.
The buyer is part of DEREIF SICAV-FIS – Immobilien 1, a core European investment fund with a current investment of more than €1.0 billion. The fund is managed by REInvest Asset Management, a Luxemburg based asset manager managing assets in 12 different countries throughout Europe.
