NK-Forsyning to divest NKE-Elnet

Plesner has advised NK-Forsyning, the utility company owned by Næstved Municipality, on the divestment of NKE-Elnet to Andel. NKE-Elnet owns and operates the electricity grid in the city of Næstved, serving approximately 18,000 residential and business customers.
Næstved Municipality has set an ambitious target to reduce CO₂ emissions by 70% by 2030 (compared to 1990 levels) and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Meeting this target requires significant investments in the electricity grid to support solar panels, electric vehicle chargers, heat pumps, rising electricity demand, and fluctuating production from renewable energy sources. This has been a contributing factor in the municipality's decision to sell NKE-Elnet to Andel.
Closing of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
