CIP acquires majority stake in the Toqlukuti'k wind and hydrogen project

Plesner has advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through its Energy Transition Fund on the acquisition of a 90% stake in the Toqlukuti'k project, a large-scale onshore wind and hydrogen project located in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
The Toqlukuti'k project is being developed in partnership with ABO Energy, which will retain a 10% stake and remain actively engaged as a minority shareholder and co-developer.
Plesner's role included the drafting and negotiation of key transactional, development, and operational agreements, establishing a well-structured framework to support the project's implementation, ongoing development, and operations.
The transaction was completed on 17 December 2024.
Plesner's core team on the transaction was Niklas Korsgaard Christensen, Jakob Schmidt Jensen, Nils Svendsen, Johannes Wieth-Klitgaard, Jesper Morsing and Nanna Hytoft.
