Advancing CCS in the North Sea: Inez CO₂ storage licence awarded by the DEA

A huge congratulations to all parties involved in this exciting project, which marks another important milestone for the development of large-scale CO₂ storage in Denmark and supports the ambition of establishing the North Sea as a key European hub for CCS as a critical technology in the green transition. 

At Plesner, we closely follow developments within CCS and have been involved in legal and commercial considerations related to both this project (the Inez license) and several other projects, including in relation to both capture, storage, transportation and utilization of CO₂. We look forward to continuing the dialogue on the regulatory, commercial and contractual frameworks required to support the safe and scalable deployment of CCS in Denmark and across Europe.
