Swiss Life Asset Managers Nordic acquires Næstved Storcenter

In collaboration with a group of investors, a fund managed by Swiss Life Asset Managers Nordic has acquired Næstved Storcenter. The seller, BlackRock, has owned the Danish shopping centre since 2017 when it was acquired from Salling Group.

Næstved Storcenter is located in Southern Zealand, and the grocery-led shopping centre is among the largest centers in Denmark, comprising approximately 43,000 square meters with a total of 70 stores, including several international brands and the hypermarket Bilka.

Næstved Storcenter first opened in 1989 and has since undergone a significant transformation, becoming one of the most dominant shopping centers in Denmark with more than 3.7 million visitors in 2022. Swiss Life Asset Managers Nordic and the investors have a strong desire and vision to continue and strengthen the positive development of the centre as a flagship for retail in it's market.

The transaction has been signed and completed on 21 December 2023. Plesner has advised Swiss Life Asset Managers Nordic throughout the entire transaction.

Plesner's core team on this consisted of Anders Hermansen, Jakob Echwald Sevel, Peter Barsøe Østergaard, Jesper Morsing, Mathias Korsbjerg Hjort, Christian Gjørtsvang, Kasper Hinnerup Petersen and Katrine Højgaard
