Peter Barsøe Østergaard

Peter is a partner in Plesner's Tax team. He has been involved in a wide range of transactions and advisory matters involving both Danish and international players. 

His practice focuses on the provision of Danish and international tax advice, in particular in terms of mergers and acquisitions, (structured) finance transactions, restructuring tax, real estate taxation and stamp duty and transfer taxes. 

Peter acts for a wide variety of clients, including real estate funds, financial institutions, private equity funds and clients in the energy and infrastructure sector. 

Peter holds a Master's degree in law from Aalborg University. Peter also holds a MSc in Business Law from Aalborg University. He was previously a tax partner at one of the global Big4 accounting firms. 

Almost all the matters in which Peter is involved require a multi-disciplinary team approach, including coordination with Plesner's international network of other law firms.
