Marlin to invest in Rystad Energy

Marlin Equity Partners has signed a definitive agreement to complete a growth investment in Rystad Energy, a provider of research and intelligence solutions focused on energy markets. Rystad's founder, Jarand Rystad, together with the Company's existing shareholders, will retain a majority stake in the business. Plesner acted as lead legal counsel to Marlin in the transaction.

Marlin Equity Partners ("Marlin") has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to complete a growth investment in Rystad Energy ("Rystad"), a provider of research and intelligence solutions focused on energy markets. Rystad serves over 700 customers across the energy value chain worldwide, delivering bottom-up, asset-level data and analytics spanning oil and gas, renewables, clean technologies, supply chain and power markets.

The transaction will enable Rystad to further advance its market position through continued investment in its data and analytics platform, advisory offerings, artificial intelligence, product development and go-to-market capabilities. 

Rystad's founder, Jarand Rystad, together with the Company's existing shareholders, will retain a majority stake in the business.

Marlin is a global investment firm with nearly $10 billion in capital commitments, specialising in the software, technology and services sectors. Founded in 2005, Marlin has completed over 270 acquisitions and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with an additional office in London.

Plesner's core transaction team consisted of Henrik Rossing Lønberg, Christian Frank Madsen and Mads Tolbøll Milbregt.
