Capidea acquires MC Emballage
MC Emballage was established in Aarhus in 1988 as a local supplier of cardboard products. Today, the company has grown into one of Denmark's leading full-service providers of packaging solutions and provides a broad range of packaging solutions to customers across Danish industry.
CEO Peder Eriksen and a number of other existing employee shareholders will remain significant co-owners alongside Capidea and thereby continue the long tradition of employee ownership of MC Emballage.
Building on the company's established customer relationships, the partnership with Capidea will support MC Emballage's further development with a focus on strengthening the organisation and the expansion of services, including advice on sustainability and packaging regulation.
The acquisition reflects Capidea's continued focus on partnering with competitive Danish small and medium-sized companies within trading, distribution, services, IT and manufacturing. Capidea currently manages four funds with total capital commitments of approximately DKK 3.6 billion and has acquired 36 companies since its establishment. MC Emballage is the twelfth investment in Capidea's latest fund, Capidea Kapital IV K/S, established in April 2023 with capital commitments of approximately DKK 1.3 billion.
