LM Wind Power's Polish Blade Factory Sold To Vestas
Plesner is pleased to have advised GE Vernova’s subsidiary, LM Wind Power A/S, on the divestment of its Polish subsidiary, LM Wind Power Blades (Poland) sp. z.o.o., to Vestas Manufacturing A/S.
The facility in Poland, established in 2009 and expanded in 2017, is a production site for onshore wind turbine blades, including Vestas V172 model.
The factory employs more than 400 employees and plays a role in the regional wind power supply chain.
LM Wind Power A/S, part of GE Vernova, is an industry leader in the production of wind turbine blades. With over 40 years of experience, the company has manufactured more than 275,000 blades worldwide. Nearly one in five wind turbines globally is equipped with LM Wind Power blades, including thousands of GE turbines both onshore and offshore.
The completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
Plesner's core M&A team on the transaction consisted of Martin Anton Svarrer, Rasmus Egede Budtz and Gustav Holm, with specialist advice from Nikolai Seltoft (IP), Niels Christian Ellegaard (IT/TSA) and Jacob Borum (Competition law).
