Bridgepoint acquires a majority stake in UMag Solutions
Founded in 2018 as a spin-out from the Technical University of Denmark and headquartered in Birkerød, Denmark, UMag Solutions has become a leading provider of advanced magnetic sensing technology for autonomous defence applications. The company's proprietary hardware, software and detection algorithms enable the real-time detection and mapping of subsurface threats, including landmines, unexploded ordnance, naval mines, submarines and unmanned underwater vehicles.
Bridgepoint acquires a majority stake in the company, partnering with its founders, who will remain significant shareholders and continue to lead the business.
Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
