Copenhagen Infrastructure Energy Transition Fund I reaches EUR 3bn hard cap

On 18 August 2022, after one and a half year of global fundraising, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) reached the EUR 3bn hard cap in their greenfield renewables energy fund, Copenhagen Infrastructure Energy Transition Fund I (CI ETF I). CI ETF I achieved commitments from approximately 65 institutional investors from the Nordics, Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
CI ETF I will focus on greenfield investments within next generation renewable energy infrastructure. The fund has a global reach and will diversify investments across technologies, including power-to-x, advanced bio-fuels, biomass, energy storage, decarbonization and other technologies supporting the renewable technology transition.

The fund will primarily invest in OECD countries in Western Europe, North America and the Asia-pacific region.
