After-hours meeting - DORA's importance for AIFMs

Seminar
Authorised AIFMs must be ready to comply with the new requirements in the DORA Regulation from 17 January 2025. On Tuesday, 10 December 2024 from 14:30-16:00, Plesner will be hosting an after-hours meeting where we will introduce the DORA Regulation for AIFMs.

The Regulation on digital operational resilience for the financial sector (DORA) came into force on 16 January 2023. The purpose of the regulation is to address the risk arising as a consequence of the increasing digitalisation of the financial sector in Europe and the rapid development of cyber threats against the sector. The regulation sets up a new and modern framework for the supervision of IT and cyber security across the European financial sector.

The regulation applies from 17 January 2025 when both existing and new ICT arrangements must comply with the rules. ICT arrangements comprise largely all your IT contracts, for instance licence agreements, consultancy agreements, and project agreements.

This after-hours meeting addresses the DORA Regulation with special focus on ICT arrangements, including how you get started on implementing DORA in your organisation. We will examine the requirements for identification of functions, mapping of ICT services, preliminary analysis of and contracts with ICT suppliers, and we will outline the work involved in maintaining a register of all your ICT arrangements which will probably have to be filed with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority during the first quarter of 2025.

Plesner's team consists of our DORA and AIFMs specialists.

The meeting will be held in Danish.

Programme:

  • 14:30-15:30: Welcome and introduction on DORA for AIFMs.
  • 15:30-16:00: Networking
