Plesner’s Data Protection Law team consists of in-depth specialists with a continued focus on staying up to date on the increasingly more complex landscape of digital law to ensure legal services of the highest quality with a client-centred approach.

Bodil is head of Plesner's Data Protection Law team. She advises large national and multinational companies across industries and sectors on all aspects of data protection law and the many regulatory interfaces within AI/tech and information security.

Bodil has completed a wide range of GDPR implementation projects, often in close collaboration with tech, cyber and information security specialists. She has been involved in local as well as global digital transformation and data management projects, helping clients utilise digital solutions and their data in accordance with regulatory requirements. 

In line with clients' increasing focus on digitalisation, and not least the use of AI, Bodil assists clients mitigate data protection risks associated with the use of new technology, including by conducting risk assessments and data protection impact assessments and integrating appropriate measures as part of the clients’ governance frameworks.   

Bodil has extensive experience assisting clients handling data protection incidents, such as data requests, complaints, and data breaches, and she helps clients assess and address compliance and information security risks in that context.

With many years of experience as a lawyer, an in-house counsellor, and as a legal advisor in a multinational consulting firm, Bodil has strong qualifications to assists clients ensure sustainable compliance, balancing the regulatory requirements on the one hand and the organisation’s commercial and strategic goals on the other hand.  

Bodil has a Master's degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen and a has completed a Master's programme at Utrecht University.

Bodil is an experienced speaker at seminars and conferences and is known as an engaging communicator. She has produced a large number of podcasts, articles and newsletters on data protection law issues.

Providing advice on data protection often requires sector insight and multidisciplinarity to address relevant regulatory interfaces. Bodil and the team benefit from a collaborative and client-focused environment leveraging clients' and all of Plesner’s expertise.
