Coronavirus - Economic stimulus programme

On 17 March 2020, the Danish Parliament passed an economic stimulus programme to ward off the negative financial implications of coronavirus.

In outline, the programme will involve the following:

  • Extension of the time for payment of tax at source, tax not collected at source (B-tax) and labour market contribution
  • Extension of the time for payment of VAT for small and large enterprises
  • Reduction of payment of corporation tax in case of an expectation of falling earnings

The legislation takes effect on 17 March 2020.

The Danish Tax Agency has set up the following website with information about the stimulus programme (in Danish). The website is updated regularly.

Enterprises will also be able to contact the Tax Agency by telephone at +45 22 12 39 to get answers to the typical questions in relation to the government stimulus programme. Phones are open all weekdays from 9-18.
