
Simon Västernäs
Simon focuses on corporate transactions, in particular for listed companies, large corporations, industrial and institutional investors as well as family offices and foundations. Simon further has extensive experience advising on venture capital transactions.
Simon's transaction experience includes all types of transactions (acquisitions, divestments, partnering transactions/minority investments, joint ventures, asset sales, royalty sales, carve-outs, etc.) and he has a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes for clients.
In the realm of corporate transactions, Simon's work is often internationally focused, and he has significant experience in complex cross-border transactions across various sectors including finance, life science and healthcare.
In recent years Simon has gained in-depth experience with regulatory M&A, having advised clients on transactions subject to complex regulatory processes.
Simon has a Master's degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen and has studied at the London School of Economics.
Almost all the matters in which Simon is involved require a multi-disciplinary team approach and project leadership. He and the team are continuously sought by clients for their ability to provide a clear set of priorities, clear communication, and a deep commercial understanding of clients' needs.
