Maria Levin
Maria is a partner and co-head of Plesner's Energy & Infrastructure team. She joined Plesner in 2024, following a long-standing career in energy and M&A at Kromann Reumert (2007–2023), where she became a partner in 2020.
Maria is renowned for her commercial, pragmatic and solution-driven approach to complex energy matters. Her practice encompasses M&A, joint ventures, project development and regulatory advice across the entire energy sector – including biogas, wind, solar, PtX, oil and gas, and district heating.
She combines top-tier transactional execution with in-depth industry knowledge and strategic regulatory insight and regularly advises infrastructure funds, utilities and sponsors on transformative transactions and platform investments.
Almost all the matters in which Maria is involved require a multi-disciplinary team approach and project leadership. She and the team are continuously sought by clients for their ability to provide a clear set of priorities, clear communication, and a deep commercial understanding of clients’ requirements.
Maria has a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen. Maria is chairperson of the Association of Danish Law Firm's Special Committee on Climate. She has extensive experience in lecturing, including from the board leadership training programme at CBS (Copenhagen Business School) and as an external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen.
