Jacob Nygaard
Jacob is a partner in Plesner's Banking and Finance team. As a leading practitioner, he has been involved in a wide range of financing matters, including commercial real estate transactions (residential, logistic, hotel, and development projects), complex national and cross-border M&A transactions, financing public M&A transactions, fund financings (including subscription facilities, NAV facilities, and hybrid credit facilities), asset finance (ships and aircraft), and energy and infrastructure projects involving conventional energy (oil), new energy (PV and wind), district cooling systems, and transportation.
Jacob also has great experience in receivable and supply chain finance, inventory finance, financial restructuring, and non-performing loans. He provides guidance on debt structuring, senior and mezzanine facilities, Danish mortgage credit facilities, intercreditor agreements, security agreements, bond documentation, and receivables purchase agreements.
He has for the past over 15 years advised a broad range of major Danish and international lenders (including banks, debt funds, and pension funds), private equity funds, and industrial clients on financing and strategic transactions, both national and cross-border.
Jacob holds a Master's degree in law from the University of Copenhagen. He has previously worked at Danske Bank and Saxo Bank and as a deputy judge at the Maritime and Commercial High Court.
