Hanne Søgaard Hansen

Hanne is an attorney-at-law in our Tax team.
Hanne focuses in particular on taxation in relation to companies and has special expertise with respect to taxation of pensions and foundations.
Hanne has more than 30 years of experience from the Danish Ministry of Taxation, most recently as head of department, and from the audit industry, where she was partner in and manager of the Danish tax department of a large international audit firm.
Hanne is the author of a number of books on tax issues as well as a large number of articles, and she has extensive lecturing experience as an external lecturer in tax law at the University of Copenhagen and on courses for lawyers, attorneys etc.
In 2008, Hanne was awarded the special Magnus Award, which is given to a tax specialist who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of Danish tax law.
Over the years, Hanne has been member or chairman of various law-drafting committees and working groups.
Hanne was chairman of the Danish National Tax Board from 2010 to 2019.
As an external member of the working group on foundations, Hanne was involved in drafting the model for the transfer of commercial enterprises to foundations which was implemented by an act at the end of 2020.
Hanne is currently an external member of the expert group appointed by the Danish government which is to propose how to ensure predictability and transparency in terms of valuation of enterprises in connection with succession.
