Ramboll to acquire K2 Management to strengthen global wind division

Ramboll has signed an agreement to acquire K2 Management, a consultancy specializing in wind and solar energy, to strengthen its successful wind division. The acquisition enhances Ramboll's ability to support clients throughout all stages of wind energy projects around the world. Plesner acted as legal counsel for Ramboll.

Ramboll has agreed to acquire K2 Management, a Danish consultancy in wind and solar energy, who operates in 12 different countries, and specializes in strategic advisory and project development in renewable energy. 

The ambition with the acquisition is to create a true global leader that is well-positioned to support clients in all phases of wind energy projects globally resulting from Ramboll’s decade-long engineering and design skills in wind projects combined with K2 Management’s leading role in project development and strategic advisory. 

The acquisition expands Ramboll's global wind division to over 900 experts across 20 countries, adding new local presences in Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, and Portugal. 

The acquisition aligns with Ramboll's goal of growing to over 1,000 experts by 2025 to accommodate the rising demand in the global wind market and emphasizes Ramboll's ambition of becoming a true global leader.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approval.
