Capidea acquires Houkjær Begravelse
Capidea has acquired Houkjær Begravelse, Denmark's largest funeral services provider. Founded and led by Jakob Houkjær, Houkjær Begravelse has built a nationwide platform with more than 100 branches and a market share exceeding 10%, driven by a highly successful buy-and-build strategy.
Following the transaction, Jakob Houkjær will continue as a shareholder in the company and leading the company's operations - now supported by Capidea as a strategic partner.
The acquisition reflects Capidea's continued strategy of partnering with competitive Danish small and medium-sized companies with strong market positions and growth potential.
Capidea currently manages four funds with total capital commitments of DKK 3.6 billion.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approval.
