Marketing and data protection seminar

We are pleased to invite you to our seminar on marketing law and data protection law, where we once again will present selected topics and discuss the latest developments within marketing law and the rules regulating data driven marketing. 

The first part of the seminar will address the upcoming executive order on unfair standard terms in consumer contracts. We will summarize the recent consultation process and provide an overview of the provisions with practical examples on commonly used terms that will be subject to the executive order. We will also address the consequences of certain standard terms being categorized as clearly unfair and thereby being punishable by a fine. 

The second part of the seminar will cover recent trends and developments in Danish marketing law. The Consumer Ombudsman has maintained its focus on environmental marketing and greenwashing, and a new focus on marketing to children and young people has recently been announced. We will provide an overview of the latest announcements and other highlights from case law, including the latest case law on unfair contract terms in consumer contracts.

The third part of the seminar will address the latest developments in the rules regulating data-driven marketing. We will provide an overview of the current regulatory landscape, including recent guidelines and cases from the Danish Data Protection Agency and the Agency for Digital Government.
