Litigation funding is increasingly used in Scandinavian litigation and arbitration cases. It provides an alternative funding method for companies seeking to pursue their rights or defend themselves against claims while managing the cost risk. 

Litigation funding has turned disputes into assets which a company can trade or utilise to a much greater extent than before. It is a tool that all large corporations should be familiar with because it may change the fundamental dynamics of how companies approach disputes internally, with its business partners, and with public authorities and other stakeholders.
