Thomas Gønge

Thomas works predominantly with indirect taxes (including VAT and customs and excise duties), tax procedural law and advisors' professional liability and D&O liability. Thomas conducts cases before the administrative authorities and the Danish courts of law and the Court of Justice of the European Union. He also advises on a broad range of tax matters and lends assistance to Plesner's other teams regarding taxes, eg in relation to real property, M&As and operations.

Thomas is the author for EU-Karnov on fiscal provisions, which cover, for instance, the VAT directives, excise duty directives, and harmonisation rules on direct taxes. He is external lecturer in tax law and VAT law at the University of Copenhagen and is the owner and editor of the Greenlandic Code at www.dgl.gl. Thomas is appointed by the Association of Danish Law Firms to the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Taxation and the Customs Agency.
