New practice area and new faces at Plesner

Plesner adds Simon Krogh and Jonatan Strenov as partners and sets up a new dedicated practice area focusing on private investment funds. Simon and Jonatan bring along Denmark’s leading team within the formation of private investment funds and investments in private investment funds.

The new practice area will complement the advisory services already provided by Plesner to private investment funds and their portfolio companies. Plesner already has a market-leading position in this area. The merger of Plesner’s existing team advising on corporate law and the new Private Investment Funds practice area strengthens Plesner’s already strong position and role as a trusted adviser to companies and other businesses, including private investment funds and their portfolio companies.

"With the introduction of Private Investment Funds as a new dedicated practice area, we wish to strengthen our strong position in private investment funds and our role as a trusted adviser in connection with the formation and operation of private investment funds and private equity investments. We are confident that the new practice area together with our existing market-leading team providing advice on corporate law and foundations will be able to make a difference to Danish businesses, including private investment funds," says Tom Kári Kristjánsson, Managing Partner at Plesner.

Welcome to a new team of private investment fund specialists

With the introduction of the new practice area, Plesner will be welcoming a number of new lawyers on 16 March 2021. They have extensive experience advising on the formation and operation of private investment funds and advising on investments in private investment funds. New partners Simon Krogh and Jonatan Strenov will drive the development of the practice area together.

Simon Krogh and Jonatan Strenov specialise in advising managers of alternative investment funds on the structuring and formation of private investment funds and the legal and commercial aspects in connection with the operation of these structures. Moreover, Simon and Jonatan have extensive experience advising institutional investors on investments in private investment funds and on co-investments with private investment funds.

The new practice area will complement the advisory services provided by Plesner to companies and other businesses, including foundations, an area where Plesner is already a market leader.

"We look forward to welcoming the team and in particular to offer the best advice in the market to private investment funds together with Plesner’s other strong practice areas," says Tom Kári Kristjánsson, Managing Partner at Plesner.
