The Danish cloud company cVation sold to the German company Skaylink

The Danish cloud company cVation A/S has been sold to the German company Skaylink GmbH. Plesner has acted as lead counsel for the sellers of cVation A/S on all legal matters regarding the transaction.

cVation was founded in 2014 and specialises in developing cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure. cVation is considered a leading player in Denmark within the field of development of cloud solutions.

Founded in 2021, Skaylink is a managed cloud services platform headquatered in Munich. Skaylink is a leading service provider in cloud and digital transformation. Skaylink's global team consists of over 500 cloud experts.

By combining the resources and knowledge of cVation and Skaylink, existing customers will benefit from new competencies within cloud services. With the sale of cVation to Skaylink, Skaylink is now one step closer to its goal of becoming the leading provider of cloud services in Europe. Further, the transaction allows for Skaylink to effectively enter the Danish market and thus gain foothold in the Nordic region.

The acquisition is supported by the private equity fund Waterland Private Equity, which has been behind Skaylink since the company was founded.

Plesner's core team consisted of Brian Bundgaard, Christian Ånerud and Emilie Appelrod.
