Clever A/S signs Corporate Power Purchase Agreement with European Energy

Clever A/S has signed a ten-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with European Energy. Plesner assisted CLEVER A/S with the signing of the agreement.

Clever has more than 2,300 public charging points for electric cars in Denmark, and the company's aim is to establish more than 10,000 new public charging points before the end of 2025.

The new PPA with European Energy creates security about the construction of a new solar farm in Tryggevælde which will have an energy capacity of 42 MW. The solar farm will provide sufficient power for Clever's entire existing public charging network. When Clever's customers charge an electric car at one of Clever's charging points, the consumption will match the production from the solar park.

Clever regards the agreement as a way for Clever to make a difference in terms of the energy system and encourage the development of green energy.

Plesner's advice and assistance with the agreement once again emphasises  Plesner's market-leading role when it comes to the conclusion of PPAs in Denmark.

Most recently, Plesner advised TDC NET on the signing of four PPAs with Better Energy in July 2021.
