Sampension acquires a 49% stake of the shares in NRGi Renewables

Sampension has signed an agreement with NRGi Administration to acquire a 49% stake of the shares in NRGi Renewables. The parties thereby enter into a partnership to develop NRGi Renewables' activities within renewable energy. Plesner acted on behalf of Sampension.

Today NRGi Renewables owns and operates a number of wind and solar farms in Jutland and has a larger development portfolio. With Sampension's entry as co-owner, NRGi Renewables' business and capital base to develop, establish and operate wind and solar projects in Denmark is strengthened.

The agreement between the parties is now awaiting final approval by the competition authorities.

Plesner's advice and assistance in the transaction mark Plesner's market leading position within renewable energy projects and transactions in Denmark.

Plesner's core team consisted of Niklas Korsgaard Christensen, Anne-Sophie Bundesen, Mathias Vestergaard Christensen, and Emma Høegh Almdal. In addition, several of Plesner's other specialists have contributed in connection with the transaction.
