Nordic Capital acquires Siteimprove

Nordic Capital has acquired 70% of the shares in the Danish software firm, Siteimprove, from the brothers Morten and Niels Ebbesen and the private equity fund Summit Partners. Plesner has been lead counsel to Nordic Capital in connection with the transaction.

Siteimprove, which is one of the leading businesses within digital optimisation of websites, was founded in 2013 by Morten Ebbesen. The sellers are the brothers Morten and Niels Ebbesen and the private equity fund Summit Partners, who invested in the company in 2015. Siteimprove is headquartered in Copenhagen and has approx. 550 employees in 15 countries.

In 2019, Siteimprove's revenue was USD 73,149,000 which entailed a revenue increase of 19% compared to the year before, and the EBITDA margin increased by 14%. From 2015 to 2019, the company's revenue is nearly quadrupled.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fall of 2020.
