New FedEx Express freight terminal at Copenhagen Airport

FedEx Express, the world's biggest express freight company, opens a new freight terminal at Copenhagen Airport. Plesner assisted Copenhagen Airports A/S (CPH) with the establishment of the terminal.

The new freight terminal means that Copenhagen Airport will become the centre of FedEx Express's Nordic operations as it will be the location of courier services, customs clearing and sorting.

The area of the freight terminal is 8000 sqm and it will be the centre of freight both to and from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The terminal is the ninth freight terminal that FedEx Express has established in the Nordic Countries in the last five years and about 120 FedEx Express employees will work at the terminal.

Copenhagen Airport is the biggest air freight centre in Northern Europe. In 2015 more than 370,000 tonnes of freight passed through the Airport and with the opening of the new freight terminal the Airport now has the capacity to handle even bigger freight quantities in future.
