Danish Government proposes business tax cuts

The Danish Government has presented an initiative aimed at businesses and entrepreneurship that includes a number of proposals for amendments to Danish tax legislation that are to make it more attractive for foreigners to operate and invest in Danish businesses.

The Danish Government wants to ease the rules on taxation of share-based remuneration, to introduce a share savings account scheme, to extend the tax scheme for researchers and to introduce a new tax deduction on investments in small and medium-sized businesses, among other things.

The particulars of the individual initiatives have not been defined yet and it is still not clear whether all initiatives will be adopted finally and to the extent contemplated by the Danish Government.

We will be following the legislative work and political developments closely.

Please contact us for further information about this initiative and about how we can assist you in respect of the above.
