UPC Taskforce

Plesner's UPC Task Force is composed of lawyers from our IP and Life Science practice, all of whom have extensive experience in patents and patent litigation.

Plesner's UPC Task Force has followed the birth of the UPC and the unitary patent from the early beginnings, and among other things authored the book The European Patent Court and several articles on the UPC, and the UPC Task Force members are frequent speakers on the UPC and patent law in general.

Our services

Plesner's UPC Task Force advises clients on the UPC and the new unitary patent, including:

• General/due diligence review of existing agreements in relation to the changed regulation accompanying the new UPC system
• When should patent holders consider a unitary patent instead of or in supplement to a traditional European patent, a national patent, or a national utility model 
• Litigation before the UPC, including the pros and cons of bringing actions before the UPC compared with the national courts
