GDPR and AI Network

As a consequence of the extensive digital regulation, most recently the AI Act, Plesner has launched a GDPR and AI network.

At Plesner we increasingly advise (future) providers of AI in terms of how AI can be developed, tested etc. 

Plesner's GDPR and AI network is dedicated to helping our clients navigate the complex issues caused by the use of AI - with particular focus on the GDPR Regulation and the AI Act.

The network will focus on the GDPR Regulation, the AI Act and the interaction between the two sets of rules.

Over time, the network will evolve with other EU legislative acts in terms of EU's digital strategy to the effect that a holistic picture of the regulation on use of AI by users is obtained. 

Purpose and target group

The purpose of our network is to help our clients thoroughly understand how they can use AI technology legally.

 We wish to:

  • Clarify: Our experts will clarify complex legal aspects of data protection and AI, including GDPR and other relevant acts and regulations.

  • Generate knowledge: Through presentations by persons who have deep technical  knowledge, we will keep members updated on technical developments in the field - and connect such knowledge to legal issues

  • Share knowledge: We will facilitate knowledge and best practice in the industry to help our clients make informed decisions on implementation of AI.

  • Create a network: Through the network our clients will be able to share experiences and ideas with like-minded professionals and lawyers with expertise in the field.

Our network is open to everybody who wants to understand how AI technology can be used within the regulatory framework but is primarily targeted at attorneys and lawyers working in private undertakings and at public authorities.

Activities

As a member of the network you will get access to an extensive resource base with updated information about guidelines, news etc. 

In addition, we will invite members to six events annually. At these events, we will be joined by external experts from, for instance, the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) and our partners, who will expand on subjects beyond data protection such as AI development, technology, governance, risk management, personal data protection and ethics.

Price

The price of membership of the network is DKK 5,000 ex VAT annually.
