Associates for Tax and Duties Starting in 2024/2025

Job posting

Are you looking for an associate position in a setting characterized by extensive collaboration, ambitious litigation, and support from some of the country's top specialists in tax and duty law? We are seeking a new colleague for Plesner's market-leading tax and duty team, starting in September 2024 or February 2025.

You Feel Extra Enthusiastic When You Hear About Tax Cases

For us, it is not crucial that you have specific experience in the tax field, such as through a previous student job. What matters most is that you are ambitious, possess a high professional level, and are eager to unfold your talent in tax cases, where arguments are rarely straightforward. This will allow you to think outside the box and combine theory and creativity.

Moreover, you must want to achieve results in collaboration with your colleagues. Being approachable, good at performing as part of a team, and taking responsibility for social cohesion are essential qualities. Collaboration is critical to everything we do, and we are always open to each other’s ideas, so we each have the opportunity to influence the way we work.

We Are Denmark's Best Tax Team Because We Value Clients and Colleagues Equally

Our primary task is to provide value-creating advice to our clients. We have a tradition of successfully assisting Danish and international clients in the most principal tax and duty cases. Many of these cases are handled as pilot cases and subsequently lead to the reopening of similar cases and changes in legislation or administrative practice. Our team has therefore had a significant influence on legal developments over the years.

We strive to perform at the highest level, both now and in the future. This is only possible if we continuously work on making all employees successful in their roles. At Plesner, we offer excellent development and educational opportunities that help ensure your professional and personal growth. We aim not only to be Denmark's best tax team for our clients but also for our team members.

What Can You Expect from Your Daily Work?

As an associate in our tax and duty team, you will work on some of the largest and most complex cases in the market, such as transfer pricing cases, beneficial ownership cases, and tax and duty cases before the EU Court of Justice. Since both litigation and disputes before administrative complaint bodies constitute a large part of our daily work, you will also gain significant litigation experience during your associate period. Your tasks will cover the entire tax and duty law area, and you will work on a wide range of advisory tasks. The daily work in the team is therefore very varied, and the tasks include both small and large cases, as well as crossing other areas of law in close collaboration with skilled colleagues across Plesner's many legal teams.

Working on some of the most complex cases may sound like a significant responsibility, but we will support you and your learning curve, so your skills develop in line with the tasks – no matter how far along you are in your associate journey.

We Look Forward to Hearing from You

If you want to know more about us and the job, you are very welcome to contact attorney Line Johanne Østergaard Andersen or HR manager Marlene Tang at 33 12 11 33. We look forward to receiving your application as soon as possible, along with relevant documents, and please note that we will be conducting interviews on an ongoing basis.
